Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or CVV. Stripe holds and processes payment data subject to Stripe's own Privacy Policy.
2. How we use your data
- To prepare and deliver the court forms you request.
- To provide customer support.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, document-ready notifications).
- To comply with legal obligations.
- To detect and prevent fraud.
- To improve our service in aggregated, de-identified form.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data we never collect
- Full Social Security number
- Full driver's license number
- Bank account numbers (Stripe handles all payment data)
- Financial details beyond what Texas court forms require
4. How we share your data
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under written agreements: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and file storage), Resend (transactional email such as your login code and document-ready notice), and Stripe (payment processing). They use your data only to provide services to us and are bound by confidentiality. Authentication is handled by our own system; we do not share your data with a third-party login provider.
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run advertising trackers on pages where you enter personal information.
5. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest provided by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare). We also minimize what we collect — for example, we never store your full Social Security or driver's license number — keep an internal audit log of sensitive actions, and limit access to customer data to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure; you acknowledge that you provide your data at your own risk.
6. Retention
We retain your case data for as long as your account is active and for one (1) year after the date of your last meaningful interaction with the service, at which point case data is purged. Audit and financial records are retained for the period required by law (typically 4-7 years). You may request earlier deletion - see Your Rights below.
7. Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@onlinedivorcetx.com.
8. Where your data is stored
This service is intended for residents of Texas. Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure operated by our providers (Cloudflare) and may be processed in the United States and other locations where those providers operate. By using the service, you consent to this processing.
9. Cookies
We use a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on pages where you enter personal information.
10. Children
Our service is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
