  • Other case data needed to populate court forms

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, links clicked (marketing pages only — we do not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels on intake or app pages)

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or CVV. Stripe holds and processes payment data subject to Stripe's own Privacy Policy.

  • To provide customer support.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, document-ready notifications).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

  • Full Social Security number
  • Full driver's license number
  • Bank account numbers (Stripe handles all payment data)
  • Financial details beyond what Texas court forms require

4. How we share your data

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf under written agreements (e.g., Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for hosting, Stripe for payments). They use your data only to provide services to us and are bound by confidentiality.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run advertising trackers on pages where you enter personal information.

5. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; you acknowledge that you provide your data at your own risk.

6. Retention

We retain your case data for as long as your account is active and for one (1) year after the date of your last meaningful interaction with the service, at which point case data is purged. Audit and financial records are retained for the period required by law (typically 4–7 years). You may request earlier deletion — see Your Rights below.

7. Your rights

If you are in the United States

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we collect and to request deletion.
