Important

Texas Divorce Forms is a document preparation service. We are not a law firm, we are not your attorney, and we do not provide legal advice. Use of this service does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Not a substitute for legal advice

The information, forms, and documents provided through Texas Divorce Forms are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. We cannot and do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, recommendations, predictions of outcomes, interpretations of the law, or analysis of how the law applies to your specific situation. We do not select forms, fields, or options for you based on our legal judgment — your factual answers drive the documents we prepare.

If you have questions about your legal rights, the legal consequences of filing for divorce, how to divide assets or debts, what to include in your final decree, or any other legal question, please consult a licensed Texas attorney.

What we do

We provide self-help software that takes information you enter and uses it to populate official Texas court forms. You file the completed documents with the court yourself. We do not file documents on your behalf, represent you in court, or appear before any tribunal for you.

Texas Government Code §81.101(c)

Texas Government Code Section 81.101(c) provides that the "practice of law" does not include the design, creation, publication, distribution, display, or sale of written materials, books, forms, computer software, or similar products, provided the products clearly and conspicuously state that they are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. This disclaimer is provided in accordance with that statute.

No attorney-client relationship

Use of this website, completion of any questionnaire, communication with our support team, or payment for our service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Texas Divorce Forms or any of its employees, contractors, or affiliates. Information you share with us is not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Accuracy of information

The accuracy of the documents we prepare depends entirely on the accuracy of the information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing every document carefully before signing or filing it. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you give us.

No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee that any particular court will accept the documents we prepare, that your divorce will be granted, or that any specific result will be achieved. Courts may reject documents, require additional information, or impose requirements specific to your county or judge that are outside our control.

Not affiliated with any court

Texas Divorce Forms is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the State Bar of Texas, any Texas court, the Texas Supreme Court, the Texas Judicial Branch, or any local or county court or government agency.
